Umpqua Community College Art Gallery Solo Exhibition
September 24th- October 28th
The Art Gallery of Umpqua Community College in Astoria, Oregon will host this exhibition of recent works by Tallmadge Doyle. The group of etchings being exhibited will include monoprints and editioned prints from the Celestial Menagerie Series. There will be an opening reception and an artist gallery talk in the gallery on Thursday, October 15th.
“Brand 38, Works on Paper”
September 19th – October 23rd
This national, juried Printmaking exhibition takes place annually at the Brand Library Art Galleries in the city of Glendale, California. The exhibition was juried this year by Ruth Wiesberg, an artist and the Dean of the Roski School of Fine Arts at the University of Southern California. Ms. Wiesberg selected from over 700 works of art to create this group of works on paper that collectively is the “Brand 38'. There will be a color catalog of the exhibition available for purchase through the library. The Brand Library is located at 1601 West Mountain Street in Glendale, CA. The opening and awards ceremony will be on Saturday, October 3rd, from 5 to 8pm.
“Los Angeles Printmaking Society 20th National Exhibition”
October 30th – December 29th
The LAPS National is a biannual printmaking exhibit sponsored by artist members of the Print Society. This years LAPS National will be held at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery. This year's Juror, Peter Frank, is Senior Curator at the Riverside Art Museum and art critic for the L.A. Weekly. He also contributes regularly to Art on Paper. Mr Frank selected 191 works from 1725 entries.
A color catalog will be produced and available after the opening of the exhibition. Opening reception will be on Sunday, November 1st from 2 to 5pm.
“7th Around Oregon Annual”
September 26th - October27th
Tallmadge will also be included in an all-media group exhibition in her home state of Oregon which will be juried by Beverly Soasey, Director of the Jacobs Gallery in Eugene OR. This annual exhibit at the Art Center in Corvallis will showcase new work from approximately 40 Oregon artists.
There will be an opening reception, awards ceremony, and juror's talk on October 8th from
5:30 – 7:30pm at the Art Center in Corvallis located at 700 SW Madison in downtown Corvallis.
